An Error has Occurred when Logging in

If the following error message appears when logging into the Windows client as below:

Try doing the following, you may need to speak to your IT team to provide help with this.

  • Open Registry Editor
  •  go to the following location:
    • Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync
  • Set EnableWAM to 0
  • Once changed, try logging in again and should come up with the login box
